Vision

The Neverending Source is an international Art Collective focusing on large scale interactive Sculpture connecting Nature and Humanity. Lead by Mel Meow out of Sidney and Florian Stadler out of Los Angeles. We invite and celebrate Collaboration, Participation in our pursuit of Art for Art’s sake. As a Community we want to create a love letter to the beauty of creation and the universe.

Description

Riding the Thermals deals with humanity's primal discovery of using fire as technology and burning carbon with intention and lays it out as an experience.

It depicts a Redtail Hawk mounted atop a pole with a slight bend. The pole sits in the center of a firepit and uses the thermal energy to make the Hawk circle high above the Playa

Riding the Thermals consists of 3 Elements:

1

A Red Tail Hawk with wings fully extended rides majestically atop a pole, circling the Playa at 30' in the air, driven by the heat of the fire (wind during the day). This will create the illusion of a Hawk Riding the Thermals over the Playa.

2

A Fire Pit shaped like a globe is in the center, which depicts a Silhouette of the Redwood Forest. The firepit will visually represent mother earth and center the human community that will surround it.

3

A Tree Net, weaved in a beautiful pattern surrounds the firepit like petals of a flower or a spidernet.

The Tree Net invites people to lie down around the fire and look up into the sky, communing with each other, nature and the fire.
